Zoya: London (Pixie Dust)

Hi all! Today I have another one of the Zoya Pixie Dust polishes to share with you. This was sent to me for consideration. This is London which is a slate grey textured matte color.

I have already told you how much I love this new finish trend and this one is no exception. I just love how this finish looks on the nail. I cannot wait to see more ASAP.

I love grey and this is a nice mid toned one. It is perfectly opaque in just two coats. It dries quickly and to keep the integrity of the finish you must skip a top coat.

Zoya: Dahlia

Good morning! I hope you all have an amazing day! Today I want to show you another one of Zoya's Pixie Dust polishes. This is Dahlia and it was sent to me by Zoya's PR for consideration. If you've seen my other Pixie Dust reviews you know I am loving this nail polish trend. The finish is a textured matte which feels sandy to the touch. I didn't think I would like that feeling but it's nice!

Dahlia is a black textured matte with a silver sparkle. The shimmer on this one is absolutely stunning. The silver offers a nice contrast against the black base.

I used two coats for the opacity shown and the formula was excellent. I have found all of the Pixie Dust polishes apply perfectly. Since this is matte you do not use a top coat unless you want to have a slick look. These dry quickly between coats.

Zoya: Chyna

Happy Monday everyone! I have a real stunner to share with you today. This is Chyna from the Zoya Pixie Dust collection. Chyna is a deep lipstick red with a sugared sparkle. It's one of the Pixie Dust colors so it's a textured matte sparkle finish.


Like the other Pixie Dust colors I have raved about, this formula is excellent. Finally! A nail trend I am into! These apply smoothly and dry quickly. Since they are matte it's best to let them dry between coats because you won't be using a top coat if you wish to keep the finish. I found these Pixie Dust polishes to be very cooperative and opaque in just two coats. 

What I am loving about these is that they last a really long time. I did not think the textured finish was going to wear well but I wore Dahlia (review coming soon) from the collection for an entire week with minimal chipping and tip wear. Color me impressed. 

Isn't she lovely? This is one of my favorites from the collection. It's simply beautiful and unexpected. This is really a standout polish of the season for me.

Zoya: Vespa

Good morning everyone. I hope you're all doing well today. Today I have another Pixie Dust from Zoya to share with you. This one is called Vespa; it's mint green with a sugared sparkle.

Like the other Pixie Dust colors, this is a textured matte.  I used two coats for the results shown below and did not use a top coat. You don't want to use a top coat on these because you will lose the textured matte finish. If you're looking to change the look up a bit you can add the top coat, it certainly won't harm the polish, it will just look different. I have seen swatches that way and these polishes do look nice that way. Personally though, I think the matte textured finish makes these Pixie Dust polishes special.

I had no issues with application. This polish went on nicely and dried quickly, which was a concern with not using a top coat. I had no issues with streaking or balding and this was fully opaque in two coats. 

Like I mentioned yesterday, I am loving this new polish trend. What do you think of these polishes?

Zoya: Godiva

Happy Monday! Let's prepare for a great week! What are you all up to this week?

Today I have one of the Zoya Pixie Dust colors to show you. I have been waiting for these for a while and am so excited they are finally here. Pixie Dust polishes are textured matte sparkles and come in six colors. Zoya is retailing these for $9.00 each, which is $1.00 more than their standard polishes.

This is Godiva is a nude with white sparkles. It reminds me of a sugar cookie topped  with that really pretty shimmery sugar! It's just stunning!

The formula is a textured matte, like the OPI Liquid Sand Polishes. I used two coats for full opacity and skipped the top coat on this one to keep that texture and flat look. It's super easy to apply and dries quickly. I sit for a minute before applying the second coat, to make sure it all dries in a reasonable time - you don't want to end up with wet layer upon wet layer because then it will never dry.  I really did not think I was going to like this finish but I really do. It's so interesting and beautiful! 

Isn't she lovely? I am really a fan of this new trend. I am usually not a fan of the trendy nail polish that comes out (crackle, caviar) but this is a movement I can get behind. I really love the complexity of the polishes in this finish. Stay tuned this week for the rest of the Pixie Dust polishes! I am currently wearing Dahlia and loving it!

Instructions for Zoya PixieDust application:

·         Clean and prep nail using Zoya Remove +
·         Magic Time! Apply 1 thin coat of Zoya PixieDust to each nail  - allow to dry completely (will appear matte with sparkle).
·         Apply an 1-2 coats of polish (allowing each to dry) as desired. We suggest 2-3 thin coats of Zoya PixieDust for a full coverage manicure.
·         That’s it - Done! You now have the latest textured nail look in the famous long-wearing, Big5Free Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish formula!

NOTE: Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish dry times are a little slower than with traditional polish but once dry, the Zoya PixieDust formulation will provide extended wear.

Best results are achieved by using the product alone. No basecoat or topcoat required. Layering of the Zoya PixieDust formulation with other polishes may produce less than desirable results.

Remove Zoya PixieDust by saturating a cotton pad in Zoya Remove + and pressing to nail for a few seconds. Repeat on each nail for best results.
