Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend. My husband and I went hiking on Saturday morning and it was really nice. It was supposed to rain all weekend but Saturday ended up being nice. Sunday, no so much, and it looks like this week is going to be rainy and dreary too. Boo!!! Oh well! Our hike was nice but we saw three HUGE, I mean HUGE snakes. Two were off the trail but made so much noise we thought there was a deer or something, then the other scared me to death on the walking trail. These things were HUGE, like 4 feet long or more. They were harmless snakes but creepy! Good thing I am not totally terrified of them, I just go thrown off guard!
This is one of our favorite spots, you have to climb up the rocks/waterfall to get here and the photo doesn't do it justice because it's GIANT!
Warning, snake photos ahead!
The first one we saw off the path, this was huge. Look closely:
This is the one that made me scream. As we were walking I caught it out of the corner of my eye. I jumped a mile a screamed so it slithered off into the brush:
I told you they were huge!!! Yuck!!!!
On to the polish... today I have some goodies from Butter London to share with you. Butter London now has lip gloss, called Lippy, that matches some of the nail polish shades. Today I am going to show you both the nail polish and lippy in the color Trout Pout. Trout Pout is described by Butter London as a creamy peach-cantaloupe color. It's the perfect spring/summer peach!
This polish applied better and lasted longer than the Butter London polishes I have tried before. This is my first Butter London creme color so maybe it makes a difference. I used three coats for the opacity shown but probably could have gotten away with just two. I had no issues with balding or streaking and I think my nails came out pretty good.

The corresponding lippy is the same color and very pretty. These retail for $17.00 so they are pretty pricey. The formula is thick and sticky so you have to enjoy a sticky gloss. I found it a little difficult to apply without streaks but eventually it worked out.
These smell divine. To me it's like a fresh melon with a bit of a floral hint. Don't get nervous at the floral reference, it's subtle and the melon dominates. It's very nice!
I am new to taking lip photos so sorry these aren't "pro".
Overall I love having matching nails and lips. Sounds silly but it works out so nicely. I really enjoy that there is an available lip gloss for some of the more lip gloss like colors Butter London offers. I love the smell! I do find them a bit too thick but I also find MAC gloss thick so it might just be me. Still a nice product.
Have you tried any of the Butter London Lippy-s? What do you think of them? Which one would you want to try most? What do you think of the lacquer?
I hope you all entered my giveaway! If not, get on it ;-)
