Sensationail: Taupe Tulips

Hi everyone! Wonder what I wore on my nails during vacation last week? I decided to go neutral and long lasting with Sensationail's Taupe Tulips. I HATE chipped nail polish so I knew I had to chose something that would hold up all well so Sensationail was it for me. I went with this neutral color so I'd match all of my clothes for the week. I love this one.

I wore it for 10 whole days with no chipping at all. The only thing I dislike about wearing these polishes for so long is the growth at the end of the week.

This time when I removed it I used the Gel Polish Remover Tool which I picked up at CVS for just $4.99. This proved to be an essential tool for removal and it went much smoother with the tool than it did without it my first go around. I have no damage at all. If you buy the system do yourself a favor and get the tool. It's worth the extra $5 for sure.

What do you think of this one? Have you tried Sensationail yet?

OPI: Don't Talk Back To Me (Germany Fall 2012)

Hi everyone! It's Friday!!!  Today I want to show you another Fall 2012 OPI Germany color. This one is called Don't Talk Bach to Me which is actually a really cute name. Sometimes these names are ridiculous but this one is adorable!

Don't Talk Back to Me  is a really unique mustard/lime leaf green color. It's got some really subtle shimmer to it and it dries fairly matte.  It's unlike any polish I have in my collection which says a lot considering I have so many.  It's HIDEOUS. LOL It really is. It's so dang ugly.  Ugly in a way that makes me kind of like it LOL. So weird. I like that they put this out in the fall, it makes sense for fall to me for some reason. I think we'll be seeing a lot of mustard this fall. We'll see.

The formula is interesting in that it dries fairly matte, I think the shimmer does that. I used two coats for the opacity shown and I had no streaking or balding issues at all. It dries very quickly, sort of how neons do.

What do you think of this odd color? Love it or hate it? I just can't decide!

Zoya: Suri (NYFW 2012 Diva Collection)

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking in today! I hope you're all doing well. Today I have another Zoya color to show you. This is Suri from the NYFW Diva collection.  Yup, Suri, like little Ms. Cruise herself (what a cutie!).

Suri is a blue toned purple frost with some subtle red and blue shimmer. The color itself reminds me of Ink by OPI which is STUNNING.  Suri however is really quite frosty, in fact it's too frosty for my liking. Because it's got that frost style finish it applies kind of streaky which I think you can see in the photos.  I am not a fan.

What do you think of Suri? I love the color but the formula is too frosty for me. I don't like that finish at all it's ALWAYS streaky and appears outdated to me. Sorry Zoya.

Zoya: Natty (NYFE Fall 2012 Designer Collection)

Happy Wednesday! You're one day closer to the weekend!! Just keep swimming!!!

Today I have a color from the NYFW 2012 Designer Collection by Zoya. This is Natty which is described as a smoky steel blue creme. This is really very pretty in person.  It's got that really pretty dusty look going on with it and it's between a blue and a grey. I actually have no dupes for this. So you might think it's not all that unique at first glace but in my collection it sure is.

The formula is a bit thick so I had to be mindful of that while applying and take my time. No issues with streaking or balding though.  Since it's on the thick side (at least my bottle) I'd recommend making sure all fans in the room are off when you apply it so as to not let the polish dry on the brush, that just makes a mess.

What do you think of this one? Would you rock it?

Nicole by OPI: For Gold Times Sake (Target Exclusive)

Hi all! How is your week going? Anything fun going on with you?

Today I have an absolutely gorgeous color from Nicole by OPI to share.  This one is called For Gold Times Sake and it's a Target Exclusive.  This is an absolutely stunning tarnished gold/green with tons of pink, blue and gold shimmer throughout. It's a color changing wonder and is so interesting. This is a perfect fall color. It reminds me of the fallen leaves.

Application wise this one is slightly sheer and required three coats for full opacity.

Isn't this color absolutely beautiful? I love it for fall.

Color Club: Editorial (In True Fashion Collection Fall 2012)

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Today I want to show you a color from Color Club's Fall 2012 In True Fashion Collection.  This is described as a peridot duochrome. It's quite interesting. It's green, it's gold, it's blue, it's brown, it's CRAZY LOL.

It's a really cool duochrome but the finish is sort of frosty which I really don't like. I don't like frosts because they streak. This streaked a little bit on me. I used two coats for opacity.

What do you think about this one? Also, I had my hubby build me a light box. I am still getting the hang of it so please bear with me while I try to get the best lighting for it.

OPI: My Very First Knockwurst (Germany Collection)

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a nice week. Today I have a color from the Fall 2012 Germany Collection by OPI. This is My Very First Knockwurst which is about as ridiculous of a name as I can imagine! I mean come on!!!!

I would call this a pink toned nude with maybe the slightest hint of lilac hiding in there. It's very cool toned and the pink adds interest to what would otherwise really just be a nude. I love it! I love colors like this.

This applied evenly and was opaque in just two coats. Man I love OPI!

What do you think of this one? How ridiculous do you find the name?!

OPI: Berlin There Done That (Germany Collection)

Hi everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Today I have a color from OPI's Germany Collection to share with you. This is Berlin There Done That which is a cool toned taupe creme. This color is reminiscent of the ever so famous China Glaze Channelesque or Below Deck because it looks taupe in some lighting and purple in others. I love it!! Colors like this are so fun! I'd say it's a little lighter and more taupe than it's China Glaze cousins. Colors like this always make me happy. It's funny because I love cool toned nail polish but NEVER wear cool toned makeup. Odd.

The formula was lovely.  I only needed two coats for full opacity and it dried with a really gorgeous shine.

You might think you don't need this one but I highly recommend it. I can never have enough of these kinds of color and when a formula is spot on it's that much better. Love it!

My husband built me a light box this weekend so be on the lookout for better swatches. I happen to think my swatches are pretty good quality but I am hoping the light box will make them that much better. Stay tuned!

Color Club: Wing Fling (Take Wing Collection Summer 2012)

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had stellar weeks. Today I want to show you a color from Color Club's Take Wing collection (Summer 2012). All of the colors in this collection were really shimmery duo-chrome/ glass fleck type colors.  I have to admit, I'm not really a big fan of this finish. I know a lot of people love it but for me they always look better in the bottle than they do on.

Wing Fling is a bright magenta with a mostly pink/purple shimmer duochrome. The base is sheer and almost jelly like and it's packed with shimmery particles.  I am not a huge fan of this color on me, I just cannot pull off these magenta colors, especially when they are so shimmery.

The polish went on smoothly and was a bit sheer. I needed three coats for full opacity. The glass flecks were smooth and not gritty or bumpy. The polish has a smooth finish and shines like the dickens!

Overall this color and finish on me is just "meh" but I am sure someone out there will love it! What do you think of it?

Who has fun plans for the weekend? I want the details! :-)
