OPI Burlesque Press Release & Images

I know I am late to the party but I just received this press release and promo images so I thought I would share. Swatches soon to follow.

I am a dork so I cannot wait for this movie. I adore Christina's voice, it's incredible. I saw her live once and she rocked it. Pure perfection.

Please note: All images are unaltered except I added the text and arranged them in the collage format to save room. Please click on the collage to enlarge.

OPI Steals the Show!

Take Center Stage this Holiday with OPI Lacquers Inspired by Sony Pictures’ Burlesque

This holiday, OPI hits a high note with the release of Sony Pictures’ upcoming film Burlesque.  With an all-star cast including Cher and Christina Aguilera, this musical written and directed by Steven Antin opens nationwide in theaters on November 24, 2010.

Inspired by the film’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography, OPI launches twelve limited-edition Nail Lacquers for Holiday 2010. “OPI is thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems on this exciting movie release,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.  “The colors were modeled off the majestic glamour, over-the-top costumes and mesmerizing Cabaret that are typically seen in Burlesque performances. The resulting bright, dazzling shades are perfect for the holiday season.”

Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to LA.  After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor and headliner. Burlesque’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingĂ©nue, who vows to perform there one day.

Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer (Julianne Hough), finds an enemy in a troubled, jealous performer (Kristen Bell), and garners the affection of Jack (Cam Gigandet), a bartender and fellow musician.  With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and gender-bending host (Alan Cumming), Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage.  Her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, though not before a charismatic entrepreneur (Eric Dane) arrives with an enticing proposal…
