OPI: Wooden Shoe Like to Know? (Holland Collection)

Good morning everyone! It's a gorgeous day here in Connecticut. It seems spring is trying hard to make an appearance.  I love a good crisp sunny day. I hope it's lovely where you are. Thanks for checking in with me!

Today I have a fun color from OPI's Holland Collection to share with you. This is Wooden Shoe Like to Know? and it is one of the most interesting colors I have seen released in a long time.  To my eye it's a purple toned milk chocolate with a golden/bronze microshimmer throughout.  I am digging this one for sure. It's so chic and unexpected.  The name is actually really cute as well.

This is a great color because it's interesting but still conservative enough to wear to work and not have any real issues. Though I tend to wear whatever I please to work I do know that some offices and professions require more muted shades. I think you can get away with this one for sure and still feel like you're doing something fun with your manicure. I tend to wear more conservative colors whenever I have to make a court appearance and I find that this one is fine for that occasion.

I used two coats for full opacity and had no issues with application. The formula was buttery and smooth. There's something about this one that just screams luxury to me. I love it!

So what do you think? Let me know in the comments :-)

Thank you kindly for stopping by and taking the time to read and comment. I am so happy to have so many awesome readers.

Barielle Shades asks "Wool You Marry Me?" this Fall!

Happy Monday! It's icky and rainy here today but fall is in the air and it's getting exciting. It's my favorite time of year. Crisp air, but not cold. Sleeping with the windows open. Jackets but not mittens. Hot cocoa, cider donuts, apple picking and leaves changing. And of course FOOTBALL! Bring on the fall!!

Today I have a gorgeous color from Barielle's fall line called Wool You Marry Me?. Barielle calls this "a plum brown creme" and I get that. I think it's plummy but it leans a bit more maroon on me. I LOVE it. Look how shiny this color is. These photos have NO TOPCOAT! How amazing is that! I adore a good shine on my creme polishes.

Again, the formula is excellent. I am really impressed with this collection so far. The cremes just glide on, the application required little clean up on my end. I adore it.

What do you think, how will you respond to the question Wool You Marry Me? I say YES! LOL. I love this color. I am a huge fan of reddish colors though so I am interested to hear what red haters have to think.

Ohhh, readers, be on the lookout for a giveaway coming soon. I am going to be giving away two high end polishes when I hit 300 followers, or when I can't wait any longer and have to do it LOL so keep your eyes peeled for a chance to win!

China Glaze Fall 2010 Vintage Vixen: "Bogie"

Hello there polish addicts!!! Today I have another fall color from China Glaze. It's been HOT here... over 100 degrees with really really high humidity so though it's been sunny it's been hazy so the photos were incredibly frustrating to take. The most accurate photo is probably the one on the right here of the label. I am so sorry I was unable to capture the purple-ness of the color. Purples are awful. Though this is a plum, not a true purple, it still gave me trouble. Apologies.

Bogie is a "plum frost with shimmer". The color is so pretty. It's def a plum but you'll see on me it leans a teeny bit burgundy - I guess my skin tone picks up on red undertones. This is a really nice color. Kind of dark and vampy. Perfect for fall. I really do love it. I didn't think I'd like it but once I put it on it was LOVE!

The formula, like the others in this collection is quite nice. I am really impressed with these frost/shimmers because I usually, like many of you, hate them! This goes on smoothly, no brush marks. Nice to see China Glaze up-ing the ante on frosts.

So check out the photos. Again, sorry for the crap pics, it's been so muggy out!!!!
So ya, I am pretty annoyed with the quality of these pics. Sorry peeps!!! But what do you think of this color? Something you'd wear?
