Online Scentsy Party

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I am hosting another Scentsy party! A friend of mine is a Scentsy Consultant and I have gotten really into Scentsy. I love the products and think you will too.

If you're unfamiliar with the company let me tell you a little bit, but for more information be sure to check out the Scentsy Review that I posted during my last party.

Scentsy makes smokeless wickless scents that come in the form of breakable bars. They are like candle tarts.  You only need 1 cube for a great scent throw. (I use 2 in my full sized warmers).

Scentsy makes plug in warmers that slowly and safely melt the wax to release the scent. They use light blubs to warm the wax, so they are safe and especially great for people with pets and children.  I have my eye on this warmer - it looks perfect for spring and summer:

And seriously, how will I be able to resist this one for Easter? I squealed when I saw it for the first time:

Scentsy makes a variety of warmers which vary in size all the way down to small plug-in warmers reminiscent of a night light. I highly recommend the plug-in warmers. They are so convenient  they plug right into the outlet and do not have a cord. I have one in my office and they are perfect for bathrooms. They make awesome gifts too!

Scentsy makes a bunch of other products too, bath and body products, room sprays, and even stuffed animals

Be sure to check out the Combine and Save page for the best deals. You can create your very own starter kits or just get more bars for your money! It's my favorite way to shop Scentsy!

Here are some of my favorite scents: Ocean, Mandarin Moon (this month is the last month to order it), Quiver, Vanilla Suede. There are too many to name!

Alright, I won't write a novel. If you're interested, check my party out. I know you'll love the products as much as I do. Now in the interest of full disclosure, I am hosting the party through a friend who is a Scentsy Consultant. I will not earn money for this, I can earn 1/2 priced and free products depending on the sales made at my party. I just think you should know that. But want to know what is cool? If you order something and love Scentsy as much as I do you can host a party and earn the same perks too! So don't feel obligated but I did want to share my party with you because I just love Scentsy!

If you do decide to check my party make sure you click on "Scentsy Fragrances" in the right sidebar in order to see all of the scented products offered. I've found some people get confused with the site.

I want to know: have you tried Scentsy? Do you love it like I do? What is your favorite Scentsy scent? Let me know if you order anything, I'd love to know what you picked out!

Scentsy Review and Online Party!

Hi everyone! Have you all heard about Scentsy? My friend Meag sells Scentsy and a few months ago I placed my first order with her and have been hooked on the products since.

Scentsy is a company that sells wickless, flameless and smokeless candles (tarts) and corresponding decorative ceramic melters. The melters work by gently warming the wax with a low watt light bulb. This concept is excellent. It allows those people who love scented candles to enjoy their scents with no worry of flames, smoke, soot or high heat. These are great for people with children or pets who may injure themselves or cause a fire. They barely get hot so there is no burn worry.

I have the Cupcake Melter. It is three pieces, the base, the melting bowl and a cute vented topper that represents the fluffy pink frosting. Can it get any cuter? The collage below shows how the three parts go together. As you can see a small light is responsible for warming the wax and releasing its scent.  The photo on the top right shows the wax in the bowl, I didn't have the melter on long before the photo so it is still solid. When warmed fully it becomes a liquid pool of wax:

Scentsy warmers come in a variety of styles from whimsical like my Cupcake Warmer to elegant like the Trellis Warmer.  They also have several different sizes including these really great plug in warmers that would be perfect for a bathroom.

Scentsy Bars come in generously sized packages for $5. There are also great deals when you buy several. Check out the Combine and Save page for awesome deals.  Here's how you use the Bars: you break off a piece of the bar and place the section into the warming bowl. Turn your melter on and in a few minutes the wax will melt releasing tons of yummy scent into the air. Simple, simple!!

See how the bars are perforated so it's easy to break off a section?

I find the Scentsy Bars to be strongly scented but not irritating. The scents are unique and complex. My favorites so far are Pumpkin Roll, Rio Beach and Apple Press. I can't wait to try even more. I am really happy with all of the Scentsy products I have tried so far. I plan to get another melter and tons more Scentsy Bars but I also want to dive into their other products too.

Scentsy also has tons of other products from room sprays, to car air fresheners  bath and body products (including hand sanitizer) and even scented stuffed animals.

Have you tried Scentsy? What are your favorite Scentsy products/scents?

My Online Scentsy Party

So here is the fun part of this review. I have decided, with my consultant Meag, to host an Online Scentsy Party! The party will run now until November 14, 2012.  I do not sell Scentsy so I will not get paid for hosting the party. Like other similar companies (Pampered Chef etc.) I may earn freebies based on sales of my party, I may not. I just want to be sure I fully disclose that fact to you in case it's not something you want to get into.

I love the products I have tried from Scentsy or I wouldn't have wanted to host a party.  If you're interested please check out the links below. I think these make AMAZING gifts and don't forget the holidays are coming!!!

Here's how you shop my Scentsy party: You can either click this link www.meagt.scentsy.us and then click on Gina's Online Party or CLICK HERE and you will be taken directly to my party. Simple. No obligation here folks, I just want to share something with you all that has made me happy.

So get shopping my friends. I love online parties because you can shop in your PJs, with a cup of coffee! That's the best!  If you have any questions or concerns let me know. I have know Meag, the Scentsy consultant running the party, since middle school. She's wonderful! She'll be happy to help you as well and can be contacted right through the party.

Don't forget to check out the Combine and Save page for the best deals on packages! And look for the monthly specials for 10% off!

Happy Shopping!!!!!!!!!!!

Holiday Gift Ideas / Wish List

Hi everyone! With the holidays fast approaching I thought it would be fun to do a little post on possible holiday gift ideas.  I am going to include both things I love and things I want. I would love to hear what you want Santa to bring so leave me a comment with your wish list!
__________________

[image] For the candle lover on your list I highly reccommend Crosscreek Country Candles candle tarts. (Photo: an order I once placed) . Candle tarts are small wickless discs of wax which you place on top of either an electric or tea light melter. As the wax melts the scent releases and makes the area smell amazing!

I have been ordering from Crosscreek  for 7 years or so now, since the owner, Deana, started her business on Ebay.  She's since moved on to her own website  and it's been fun to watch her business grow.  She's become a friend over the years and I can honestly say her customer service is top notch.

Her tarts are highly scented and gorgeous.  You can tell she puts a lot of love into her products and everything is made to order. They come in all types of shapes and sizes.  I love the breakable bars and the good ol' standard tarts (in the photos above)  but there are candy canes, pointsettas, snowmen, stockings, you name it!!!!!   You can order a Christmas Scent Sampler with 10 standard tarts for just $8.50 which is a great deal!  If you're not into the holiday scents you can get a U Pick Sampler for the same price with 10 scents of your choice.  There are so many ways to order, definitely check out her site. (pictured right: Birthday Cake shaped.) (Pictured below: Pretty Shimmer Poinsettia tarts.)

Make sure to visit Crosscreek soon though because Deana closes for the month on December 11th to spend time with her family. So don't forget to place those Christmas orders before then!  Let me know if you try them out I would love to hear your thoughts.

BONUS: Scents Reccomendations: Funnel Cake, Pink Sugar, Pink Sugar Rush, Pink Christmas, Celtic Moonspice, Granny's Zucchini Bread, Pumpkin Log, Ferris Wheel Treats, Bamboo Sugar Cane, Spa, Pink Noel.

Here's something from my personal wishlist that I will probably not get LOL. I have been lusting after this Lisa Taubes necklace (photo: LorraineStanick.com) ever since I started watching Lorraine's youtube videos.  She's always got this thing on and it's so pretty and elegant. I feel like it goes with anything. I really want the 5 foot gold because I love how it looks wrapped three times like in the photo.

This is pricey at $148 but it's so so pretty. Someday it shall be mine (insert evil laugh).  You can get it on Lorraine's website.  As soon as I get a job (whenever that may be) I am purchasing this as a gift to myself.

Now, how could I not want this many nail polishes in one package?  This is the Sephora by OPI Mini Nail Colour Set. I think this is a fantastic gift to get a lacquer fanatic! Even though I probably have most colors that can dupe those included I still want it! I am a nail polish hoarder, what can I say?!

This set has mini bottles of the following colors:
A True Romantic, Techno Girl, Access 24/7, Ms. Can't Be Wrong, What A Broad, Just A Little Dangerous, Cab Fare, Caliente Coral, Special Request, High Maintenance, Sample Sale, I'm With Brad, Leaf Him At The Altar, Mermaid To Order, Opening Night, Already Famous, Dating The Drummer, Never Enough Shoes
Sounds good to me.  It's $48 at Sephora.com.

If you have someone on your list that loves to read these bookmarks are the perfect stocking stuffer. You can get a set of two of these at Barnes and Noble stores for under $5.  I am pretty sure you can't order these online but next time you're in the store just go over to the bookmark section and I know you'll find them.  I adore these and have tons of them.

You just slide the bookmark onto the page marking your last line. So you never reread a page you read because you just stick a random bookmark in or dog-eared the pages.  These are seriously the most simple things but they are just so cool. Honestly if you have a bookworm on your list I bet they will love these.

Well that's all for now, I hope you found this post helpful or at least fun.  If you are a fan of any of the items I mentioned let me know. Also, if you know something you think I would like let me know that as well.

Have a fantastic day! Thanks for reading!!!! :-)

Ten (More) Things that Make me Happy! TAG!

I was tagged by the lovely Polish'd Cindy  a while back for the Happy 101 tag. Thanks girl! I did this tag a while back so please see those answers if you'd like to know even more about me. That original one was just ten random facts so yay for different answers.  Please see the link below to the top 10 things that make me happy! If someone else tagged me with this same tag please accept my apologies I have a hard time keeping track. Let me know in the comments and I will give you a shout out!

So, rules of the tag are as follows:

1. Copy the award image into a post

2. Then list 10 things that make you happy
3. Tag 10 bloggers who brighten your day
4. Put in a link to their blogs
5. Notify the award receivers
6. Award recipients must link back to sender’s blog

Want to know the TOP TEN things that make me happy? Check out this tag post a while back. I would consider those the top then things that make me happy, becuse  mean comeone how can the list be complete without my husband, cats and Disney World!? This tag will be ten more things that make me happy.

Ten (more) Things that Make Me Happy:

1. The perfect bubble bath. I can sit in a great bubble bath for hours reading a good book. Waste of hot water? Sure, but relaxing and rejuvenating yes!

2. My new nephew/godson. My brother in law and his wife just had their first child in June.  My husband and I are lucky enough to be his Godparents and he's just the sweetest baby. He's totally made me like kids, lol and if you knew me you'd know that's a big deal. When he smiles it puts a huge smile on my face and I can't wait to watch him grow up, even though it makes me feel old!  Photo: My nephew PJ and his daddy on Halloween. He was dressed as one of the three little pigs, the other two were their dogs in piggie costumes. His dad had a big bad wolf mask!

3. Candle tarts! I love a good scent.  Scents can set the mood. You can be energized, relaxed or reminded of the perfect Christmas. Scent memory is so strong.  I love tarts from Cross Creek Country Candles.  I have been ordering from Deana at Cross Creek for years and I feel like I know her so well even though we have never met. I love the Funnel Cake scent and I even created two custom scents which made it to her permanent line: Pink Sugar Rush (Pink Sugar and Funnel Cake blend) and Private Cabana (Blood Orange and Coconut Milk blend). Getting a box of tarts from Deana makes me happy. I have an order in right now for some holiday scents and I cannot wait until it lands on my doorstep.

4. The library! Hello, FREE BOOKS. I mean really, can you beat that? I really hope e-books don't take over because there's nothing like a good physical book. I love my local library it saves so much money!

5. Hiking. I love hiking with my husband. We sometimes go with friends or family and it's a blast. I twisted my ankle pretty badly in August and we didn't get to go as much as we usually do in the summer but the weather is cooling down and my ankle is about 90% better so maybe we can fit a few good hikes in here or there. We just enjoy being outside and chat about life. I  love it.

6. A clean house. I don't like to actually clean the house but I sure love when my house is clean!

7. Getting compliments on my nails. You all know I spend a ton of time on my nails so it's nice when people who don't know that notice my efforts.  I love getting a random compliment on my nails, weather it be from the cashier at the grocery store, some random person at Starbucks or a friend. It gives me a little smile to know I am not just doing this for myself.

8.  A good sale. Come on, don't we all love a good sale. I got a $94 dress for $7.99 at the outlet shops a while back, it made my day! I wore it to a friend's Engagement Party last night and got tons of compliments. I wanted to shout "ONLY 8 BUCKS!" but I used some restraint.

9. Photos. I need to take more but I love looking at photos of my loved ones.  Sometimes it's hard to get everyone to pose and if I am the one taking pics I am not in any so that sucks but I do love pictures.

10.  Christmas. Christmas time bring back so many great memories so it's hard not to be happy that time of year. It's sometimes stressful but always beautiful. The best part of Christmas? Sipping hot cocoa and laughing my ass off for the 1002859358th time as Clark W. Griswold tries to host the perfect holiday! Gets me every time.

That's 10!

Tag, you're it! Here are 10 blogs that brighten my day:
1. Varnish Vixen
2. Mocha Mish Mash
3. Kitschy Suburbia
4. Nails by Bellan
5. Also Known  As...
6.  Candy Coated Tips
7. Tania's Place
