Sinful Colors "Bleeding Heart"

Sinful Colors "Bleeding Heart" is a gorgeous classic red creme. As you can see in the photo to the right I believe my bottle has a typo. I'd be suprised if it really is "Bleending Heart" LOL but you never know. I am assuming it is "Bleeding Heart."

I purchased this at my local CVS. Only one of the CVS stores by me has Sinful Colors but you can find Sinful Colors polish at Walgreens (the biggest collection I have seen) or Rite Aid. These polishes are a fantastic value at just $1.99 each.

The formula on this one is impressive. I found it super easy to apply and leaves you with a gorgeous streak free super shiny finish.

I love red nails. I know a lot of nail polish lovers do not but to me there's something classic about a shiny red creme. This fits the bill perfectly and it's so inexpensive it NEEDS to be in your collection!!

I find that red polishes often stain upon removal. Do you have any suggestions as to how to avoid that? It's no big deal but for about 24 hrs after removing most reds I can see a red tint.

So do you like red nails? How about this red?

Essie "Neo Whimsical"

Essie's "Neo Whimsical" is part of the Art of Spring Collection and it's a really pretty lilac/pink creme. It's not quite pink and it's not quite purple; Essie calls it a "rose plum" and I suppose that's right. When I think of "plum" I think deep dark and rich but I guess "rose plum" would be more muted like this.

I think this color is great for spring. It's muted and conservative but it's somewhat edgy at the same time. It has that cool dusty quality to it that makes it a bit more of a statement color than a plain pink would be. I think it's perfect for everyday wear and non-offensive in a conservative environment. So you can wear this to the office and feel comfortable but not boring. I like that.

I found this one easy to work with, I liked the formula a lot it was a great consistency. I had no streaking, no balding - no real issues with application at all. This is just two coats which shocked me because I was expecting to have some VNL but two coats was the perfect opacity for me. Winner!!!!

I took quite a few photos but I wanted to share them all so you can see how it's purple but pink at the same time.

So, do you like it? I do! I think this is a fantastic color from the collection. I didn't think this one was going to be for me and I was pleasantly surprised by it's beauty. This is sure to make an appearance in my life on a regular basis.

Thanks for reading! Don't forget to enter my giveaway, it's easy!!!

China Glaze "Heli-Yum"

China Glaze's "Heli-Yum" is a raspberry pink creme from the Up & Away collection. I purchased mine on TransDesign back when this collection first came out. This was one of the colors I was most excited about and it ended up being the color I was most disappointed in.

I find the color of this one to be a little off. To me it's not quite red but not quite pink. I think for me to have loved it it needed to be more of one or the other. On my hand it's just boring. It looks blah. I was so excited when I first heard about it. Raspberry sounded so sexy to me. Instead it's just boring, standard, dull.

The formula was fine. Pigmented and thick but not goopy. I needed two coats for opacity which is great.

So how do you feel about "Heli-Yum"? Is it a favorite of yours or did you find it as dull as I did. I am super bummed this color didn't work for me but that's life!
