New Poll: What's the most you'd spend on a single bottle of nail polish?

Hi everyone! I have created a new poll for you all to take. It's located in the right side bar. I am asking you to tell me what is the most you would spend on single bottle of nail polish. I am interested to see the results. One on end we have all of the wonderful high end brands with polishes over $20 and on the opposite end of the spectrum we have the wonderful retailers selling bottles for $2. So what say you? How much is too much to spend on polish.

Cast your vote in the poll to the right by August 12th and I will share the results with you then!! And feel free to sound off in the comments as well. I love to hear from you all!

Claire's Mood Color Changing Nail Polish in "Calm/Wild"

Happy Wednesday readers! Today I have a Claire's Mood Color Changing Polish to share with you. I have seen so many wonderful swatches of this stuff I just had to get my hands on some. Last week I went to lunch and shopped a little with my mom so I picked up two of the Claire's Mood polishes. The first I want to share with you is Calm/Wild.

Calm/Wild is the polish that is both purple and pink. It's a sort of shimmer (not frost) formula. Now the thing that drew me to these polishes was the fact that on most long-ish nails it created a "funky french" with one color on top like a french tip and the other color on the bottom portion of the nail. Now on me I was a bit disappointed because that was not as noticeable. The only time I really saw the results I'd want to see was when I was driving in my car with the AC on. I guess my nails were close enough to the cool air to change color on the tips.

The formula is okay. I found it decent to work with but I needed 3 coats for opacity which annoys me. But I found it decent to apply, I didn't think it was too thick. Most people have complained about staying power but for me, using Seche Vite top coat, I got a few good days out of it. Nothing to really complain about.

On to the photos. I did my best to show you how it is most of the time, then hot, then cool. Hope this helps:

These polishes can be purchased at Claire's Boutiques in you local mall for around $5. They are usually Buy One Get One 1/2 off so two for $7.50 not too bad at all.

Enjoy the rest of the week! Thanks for stopping by!

Deborah Lippmann: "Don't Tell Mama"

It's August already! Where oh where does the time go?

Today I have a gorgeous green color to share with you from Deborah Lippmann called Don't Tell Mama. Lippmann calls it "mood ring blue/green shimmer" and it totally does remind me of a mood ring! It's really quite gorgeous. It's deep, almost black, and complex. In some lights I see green, in some I see blue, it's like a mermaid fin! I just love it!!!

The formula is outstanding, and with a price tag of $16-$18 it better be! I really think you could tell it's high end. It applied flawlessly and it lasted for days! I took it off around day four but I had virtually no tip wear and no major chipping at all, I just wanted to change it. So the staying power to me is A+.

I went a little pic crazy, but I feel like each pic is slightly different so I had to post them all. Sorry in advance for that!

So what do you think? Worth splurging for? I really love it, I think if you're looking to spoil yourself Lippmann lacquers are a good way to do it. I really am impressed with the quality of these. I am sure I won't be running out and buying all of them (with the job situation LOL) but I do see some more in my future. You can purchase these on Deborah Lippman's website or at Nordstrom.
