OPI: Suzi Loves Cowboys (Texas Collection)

Hello everyone! I hope those of you who had a long weekend enjoyed it! I had a fantastic weekend with my husband. I got a lot of sun and had a lot of fun! I am sad to be back at work, I wish we had long weekends everyone week... okay, even every month would be good.

Today I want to share one of the polishes from the OPI Texas collection. This is Suzi Loves Cowboys. I was in a rush so I didn't write all the info I usually do on the photos but this is two coats and a top coat for reference.

Suzi Loves Cowboys is a rich dark chocolate brown color. I have been into the browns lately for some reason. When my nails are on the short side I tend to favor dark colors such as these. This reminds of me chocolate ganache or something. Yum!

This polish went on nicely with no real issues. It's slightly thicker than some other polishes but it didn't seem to cause much of a problem. I am getting used to the pro wide brush and making less of a mess with it now. This was opaque in just two coats but I did experience some slight balding which you can see on the pinky. Nothing major.

So what do you think? Do you sport the browns every once in a while? What are some of your favorite?!

China Glaze: Sunset Sail (Anchors Away Collection)

It's Friday, Friday!!! Woot!!! Everyone ready for the holiday weekend? Hubby and I  are going hiking tomorrow and maybe hitting a local amusement park on Sunday if the rain stays away (fat chance!!).

Today I have a color from the China Glaze Anchors Away Collection. Of course the weather has been crap so I wasn't able to get really great photos of these. This is becoming increasingly frustrating and I feel like the quality of my blog is suffering. I apologize, once again.

This is Sunset Sail which is a peachy color with teeny tiny beige microshimmer which is barely detectable in these photos because of the lack of sun. On me this color appears to be somewhat of a mannequin hands color. I wish these colors worked on me but I haven't really met a peach color that works on me yet.

The formula on this one is slightly thicker than China Glaze typically is. I had no true problems with application but I did notice the different, thick, consistency. I used two coats and achieved full opacity as shown.

So what do you think of this one? Does the peach tone work for you?

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink: nubar: Pink Lily

Once again here we are on Wednesday! Almost through the week of work and one  step closer to the long weekend! And you know what happens on Wednesday don't you? On Wednesday we wear pink! So the pink of the day today is nubar's Pink Lily. Nubar describes Pink Lily as a "vibrant pink creme".  It's a nice bright pink which leans pastel but has a little more peach to it than a typical baby pink.

Formula wise this was not my favorite. It's really opaque but it requires three coats because it goes on streaky and uneven. it absolutely requires the assistance of a glossy top coat for shine as it's sort of chalky on its own. It's not bad but it's just not the easiest thing to work with.

So are you a fan of this pink? Would you rock it?
