OPI: Road House Blues and Servin' Up Sparkle

Hi everyone! Today I have two gorgeous polishes to share with you. TWO! LOL.  The first is OPI's Road House Blues from the Touring America Collection. This is a rich gorgeous blackened navy blue creme. I love the finish on this one and just adore these blackened colors in general.  It is not so blackened though that it looks black, it is a true navy blue which is so chic to me.

The formula on this is lovely and I just needed two coats for the opacity pictured. I love the creme finish and it's got a nice high shine to it.

Photo one is no flash, photo two is with the flash, which is why it appears slightly more blue.

I topped Road House Blues  with Servin' Up Sparkle  from the Serena collection and I love the combo! Servin' Up Sparkle is gorgeous!! It's a clear base with tons of holo glitter and some hex glitter thrown in. I just love how it looks on top of the rich navy blue!

The formula was not too hard to work with. Often, hex glitters are hard to place on the nail and this is no exception but it really wasn't that hard because it is packed with glitter.  I really love the end result and think this is one of the prettiest top coats I have seen in a long time.

So are you loving this combo as much as I am?

OPI: Mermaid's Tears (Pirates of the Caribbean Collection)

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and that this week goes by quickly and smoothly.

Today I wanted to share a color from the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. I know, I know, that collection is old but I haven't gotten my hands on it till' now!

Mermaid's Tears is a gorgeous aqua green that is similar, I think, to Essie's Turquoise and Caicos. I think Mermaid's Tears is more green than Turquoise and Caicos though. It's a really pretty fun color that I think most skin tones can pull off no problem.

The formula on this one is really nice. I used only two coats for the opacity shown in the photos. It went on smoothly with no streaking or balding. I am happy to report that I am getting really used to the OPI pro wide brush which makes me so happy!

Are you a fan of this polish?

OPI: Crown Me Already (Miss Universe Collection)

Hi everyone! Today I want to share photos of OPI's Crown Me Already which is part of the Miss Universe collection.  It's a really bling-y metallic silver with tons of silver regular glitter and silver hex glitter. When the light hits this one it's absolutely beautiful!

For a glitter it is extremely opaque and I got the photographed opacity in three coats. Nice!!! So this is not a top coat, you can really wear this alone. You do have to be mindful of where the hex glitter goes but it's not the most difficult glitter I have applied. It was really a nightmare to remove though. The hex glitter stuck to my nails and I had to buff some of it off. That was annoying. I find that that happens to me sometimes with larger glitter polishes for some reason.

I really like this one. I see myself pulling it out of the good ol' Helmer during the holidays. What do you think of it?
