Snowed In

So, we're snowed in. No seriously, we're completely stuck. There's at least three feet of snow on the ground and our street has not been plowed, at all. Not even a little. The storm ended yesterday morning. Don't believe me, check out the pics:

There's me at the top of my hill. What a mess. Excuse the ridiculous outfit LOL:

Here is where the plows just stopped trying. This is because all of those cars on the street are illegally parked. My condos are behind these ones, there's no way to get to them but to drive through here... can't drive over three feet of snow:  

How do you even begin to remove this?

Nicole by OPI: A Like-Haley Story

Good morning readers. I hope this post finds you well. Today I have a hot pink to share with you from the Nicole by OPI Modern Family Collection. This one is called A Like-Haley Story. It's a a hot pink with really subtle pink microshimmer.

Not much to say about this one. I didn't have any issues at all with application and only needed two coats for full opacity.

I don't love these colors on my skin. I always want to like them but never do. Most pinks just simply do not work for me, and this is one of them. It's pretty enough just not on me.

The last photo is in sunlight, the others in regular lighting with a flash.

Random Thoughts:

• Connecticut is bracing for a blizzard Friday into Saturday. I hate the snow and just hope my power doesn't go out. We have a generator but it won't heat our house.
• I finally finished Insurgent  by Veronica Roth. I can't wait for the next book! I am currently reading 
  Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
• Today is my husband and my 11th anniversary. Not wedding anniversary but anniversary of being together. Time flies! 
• Hubby and I finally started watching Homeland and we are HOOKED. It's so good! Also of interest is The Americans on FX. 
• The Walking Dead is back on Sunday! Can't wait!

OPI Liquid Sand: Can't Let Go

Hi everyone.  I am super bummed out this morning at the 49ers loss in the Super Bowl last night. They were not themselves last night and made lots of stupid mistakes and got a ton of silly penalties. I am impressed with their come back in the 2nd half, after the black out (Crazy huh?!) but it wasn't enough to prevail. What a bummer.

So today, since the Ravens won last night, I guess I will show you a purple. This is OPI's Liquid Sand in Can't Let Go.  It's a royal purple matte shimmer.  It's absolutely beautiful! Sometimes my camera wants to make these purples more blue than they are but I think for the most part I captured the true color of this one today.

I had no issues with application. I used two coats for the opacity shown. I had no balding, no streaking and no visible nail line. This is a solid polish. 

So have you tried the Liquid Sands colors? I have featured them all now. Which is your favorite?
