The Spooky Bones Company: The Bottom

Hello lovelies! It's an absolutely picture perfect gorgeous day in Connecticut today! Great weather puts me in a great mood! Tomorrow my little sister is graduating from college! We're extremely proud of her. She's struggled with a learning disability and doctors told her she wouldn't go to college, or drive for that matter, well you know what, she does both! We're so happy for her!! She's worked her butt off to get here! So tomorrow we celebrate! :-)

Today I want to share a polish from an Etsy store with you all.  I was contacted by Amber of The Spooky Bones Company and she generously offered me a chance to try her nail polish creations.  I actually have not tried any esty polishes yet so I was excited! (Now I have an order from an etsy store coming and I have an amazing friend who's sending me the famous Floam).  Amber makes "franken" polishes and sells them on Etsy. I have no idea what polishes she uses for her mixtures but I do want to show you my favorite of the four I got to try.

This is The Bottom and Spooky Bones describes it as: "A beautiful black with not only multi color but multi shaped glitter. It's like look at the twinkling night sky or a city skyline reflecting over the river late late at night." I  really enjoyed this mixture of colors! I used two coats for opacity and it applied smoothly with no streaking or balding. The glitter was prominent and didn't sink into the base like some glitters in a dark base tend to do. I like glitters like this so I don't have to put a glitter topper on!

So what do you think of this one? It sells in mini bottles for $3.50 on Etsy. Have you tried anything from The Spooky Bones Etsy store?

Essie: Topless & Barefoot

Hello everyone! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend and treated your moms' to a great Mothers' Day and Happy Mothers' Day to all of the moms who follow my blog!! I hope your kids spoiled you! I had a nice weekend. On Saturday my husband and I went for a nice long hike then later in the evening we went  for dinner at a local place everyone raves about, it was fantastic. Then yesterday I spent time with my mother for Mothers' Day, it was fun!

Today I have a  nude to share with you that I believe came out last year, though I am just getting around to trying it out. This is Essie's Topless & Barefoot which seems to have become a blogger/youtube guru favorite over the last year.  I love nude polish and this is no exception. I'd consider this one to be Sand Tropez's pinker cousin. It's a warmer beige nude creme and less grey than Sand Tropez

This went on smooth and opaque in just two coats.  I had no issues with streaking or balding and I was happy with application.

What do you think of this one? Need it in your life or just another run of the mill nude?  FYI: I got mine at CVS which seems to have a nice selection of Essie polishes these days.

Who Loves Green? I do... I do!

Hello my friends. Sorry for my laziness this week with posting. I suck!! Today I want to show you some great army like greens! I love green so much and these two are no exception!

The first I have is OPI's Uh Oh Roll Down the Window from the Touring America collection. The name is RIDICULOUS but the color is great! It's a really nice army green  creme and the formula is awesome. I had no issues with application and needed just two coats for full opacity.

Next is a color I have had in my collection for quite some time but didn't use until this week. What was I thinking?! This color is great! This is Sephora by OPI's Caught with my Khakis Down, again with the ridiculous names. This color is more muted and gray toned than Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window which makes it a bit more neutral to me. I love it! I am wearing it right now, it's been 3 days, and it's worn well. I do have some chipping but it's not horrible.  I used two coats for full opacity with no issues at all.

What is your favorite army green color?!
